Fees: None. Small parking lot. A portable bathroom was recently installed (not sure if permanent it's a feature).
Location: Corner of Azuar and A Street, Mare Island.
Kid-friendly: Yes, but you may consider taking the shorter walking path by the seasonal pond area—its a great path to let the kids run off their energy. Otherwise, you can enjoy a meandering four-mile loop of quiet and serene trails, with its amazing views of Marin and Sonoma Counties -- and, on a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco. It’s a great running trail, or when you need solitude. Lots of birds and wildlife to view, and you can learn about its past history on the information kiosks posted along the way.
Please note: No bikes or pets allowed. Wheel chair accessible, great for stroller walks.
